Mitchell Win Number 301

Congratulations to Cedar Falls Coach Pat Mitchell for win number 301 last night against Linn-Mar. CF sophomore running back Barkley Hill gashed the Linn-Mar defense for 289 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns.
The Cedar Falls coaching staff has almost 200 years of experience and the Tigers always seem to improve late in the season and are a factor come playoff time. I wouldn’t want to face the 5-2 Tigers in the first round of the playoffs. Linn-Mar really needs to improve their defense and work on their tackling if they want to be a factor in the playoffs.
A tough blow for Solon this week when quarterback Wes Sleeper tore his ACL in practice Wednesday. Future Hawkeye James Morris moved to Qb last night against Camanche and passed for 101 yards and rushed for 93 in a 61-8 win. The Spartans have won 34 straight games, but it will be a real test to repeat this year without Sleeper. Solon has a big game this week at undefeated Iowa City Regina in our game of the week on Friday Night Lights.

To those parents out their who lost their child because the equipment was designed poorly and stranguled to death or had several broken bones from falling in between monkey bars or having their jaw shoved up into their skull from this equipment. Recently, a 3 yr old climbed up on the horizontal ladder at a preschool and got his neck stuck in between the bars. How long did it take before some one noticed this? How about reading the daily injury reports that come across the director
