The Hawks will be playing without Adam Robinson for the rest of the regular season. Freshman Brandon Wegher will be expected to carry the load Saturday against the Hoosiers.  Wegher is also banged up with an injured hand and sore ribs.  So you have a banged up running back and the Hawks will be missing starting tackle Dace Richardson, who is also out for the rest of the regular season with a broken left leg.

Robinson has really carried the load for the Hawks this season rushing for 109 yards against Michigan State last week.  This will be a big blow to the Iowa rushing game, because Adam was running like a veteran back.  Robinson is a patient back and knows when to cut back, or hit the hole hard.

Paki O’meara is listed as the back up to Wegher Saturday.  The Hawks can also pull the red shirt off freshman running back Brad Rogers. The 5′10 225 pounder out of Toledo is a big, strong back.  Ferentz struggles pulling the trigger on freshman backs and he really doesn’t want to waste a red shirt year on a few carries, but if they need to they will. The Hawks have never been 8-0, so you have to take some chances.
